66 South Street

  • This old coaching inn exhibits several ghostly manifestations. These include a woman of about twenty dressed in a long black cape. Witnesses see her walking through the courtyard, then up a set of stairs in front of the inn, which a previous proprietor took out many years ago. In another part of the inn there is a bar called “Bottlescrew Bill’s”. From time to time, witnesses see an impish face peering around the end of the bar gazing intently at the customers. The face is that of a boy aged about five. He suddenly disappears whenever someone makes a comment about him.
