29 Bethlehem St, Grimsby, South Humberside, Yorkshire and the Humber

  • A magnificent red brick building with most attractive windows, the hotel was erected in 1851. The Earl of Yarborough was chairperson of the Manchester, Sheffield to Lincolnshire Railways, with built it for the growing rail network. It has a wealth of ghosts and a paranormal investigative group claim they caught one phantom on video. This is a figure dressed in a white shirt and wearing spectacles. He was clearly visible. It was not one of the investigating team. Other ghosts haunting the building are more of the poltergeist style. Although some say that one apparition, making frequent ghostly appearances, is either a previous proprietor or customer.
