30 High Street, Chalfont St. Peter, Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire

  • Throughout the night, there have been sounds of merry airs. Jigs played on a violin with footsteps dancing up with down the stairs. Some, who have been witness to this, say it is a middle-aged man. He has a beaming happy smile and most nimble of foot. It is reputed to be the ghost of a former proprietor. He was violinist, Donald Ross, who died at the White Hart almost a century ago.
