St Kew, Churchtown, Bodmin, Cornwall

  • There is a lot of history attached to this beautiful, stone built inn at isolated village. In the 1400s, artisans and builders working on the village church used the oldest part. That church stands on the site of a sixth century chapel. The current building is 16th century. It was licensed as an inn during the early 18th century. The village name refers to the Celtic St Kew. His cult is the earliest documented in Cornwall. During a renovation in the 1970s, the skeleton of a young girl someone found, with said to have died for a century. Who freed the ghost of Adele, who now haunts the St Kew Inn? Overall, it appears when changes made and soar through the building like a nebulous form.
