  • Bromyard is an ancient town with history from AD840 when it locals knew it as Bromgeard, an enclosure where the broom grows. A impressive white building with external black beams, this 16th century former coaching inn bears an ancient name for pubs. Occasionally, this was after the bird used for hunting but in other cases after the stagecoach that operated from such an inn. Falcons appeared in the arms of Elizabeth 1st and William Shakespeare amongst others. Inside the Falcon are huge beams and open fireplaces. It exhibits ghostly manifestations including a querulous young man who strides around the second floor of the Falcon demanding ‘Where is Anne?’
