36 Bugle Street, Southampton, Hampshire

  • Constructed in 1220, The Duke of Wellington is said to be spooked by an occupant apparition who likes to refill glasses. Numerous years back, a youthful 18 year old fellow was as far as anyone knows assaulted outside and press ganged for a shipper vessel. Is this young fellow coming back to the hotel or does the Duke of Wellington hold some other spirit who decline to leave? There are reports of objects moving around the bar, dull shadows moving in the cellar, and the top floor room at the front of the building constantly has a chilly air. Also, this hostelry has some honest to goodness unexplainable paranormal happenings, including flickering lights and a blackout during a seance.
