  • Severe chills and footsteps are experienced at this village inn. The ghost of a woman in a long dress , witnesses have seen, walking along an upper landing. When she manifests, she is also shouting, although the words are indistinct. A previous proprietor and his wife parted on somewhat acrimonious terms in the 1930s. It is believed to be the proprietor roaming her former home, with still venting her spleen. It may be the inn is actually haunted by two women, as a servant girl called Emy killed herself here in the 1850s. She was contacted by a medium for a TV programme, with told a very sad story of abuse and ill treatment.
