  • They treat their ghost here as a feature of the pub, with have a warning sign over the door to the women’s lavatory. This reads, ‘Beware of the Ghost’. This mischievous apparition was , locals knew, by locals to flush the loo at most inappropriate times. A number of women have reported the ‘phantom flusher’ in the women’s lavatory. They have reported that the door has burst open and a curious force flushes the cistern while they are sitting there. One proprietor, who saw a strange mist arising from the toilet floor, organised a séance. During this paranormal investigation, there was a loud knock on the front door and a windowpane shattered.
