  • A man in a black suit is one of the four ghosts to haunt this pub, named after the renowned Scottish poet and author. A woman, also dressed in black, , witnesses have seen, to manifest, with then disappear into a wall. A male shadow , witnesses have seen, darting across the bar area, with the ghost of a young fair-haired boy, wearing short trousers in Victorian style, has also been witnessed. Several licensees have reported being pushed about by a heavy hand while working in the beer cellar. From the main bar, witnesses have reported hearing music blaring during the night and gaming machines start up with no one being nearby.
