40 St Peter's Rd Broadstairs, Kent

  • Albion was the description for Britain during the Roman period of occupation when, it locals knew it as Albus, Latin for white. This was after the chalk cliffs along the south coast. Unexplained patches of damp frequently appear on the stone floors of this early Victorian style pub. These are in the shape of a man and a child. However, there is no history behind this curious phenomenon. However, cakes, biscuits, cream cakes and even a large pork pie have disappeared when these shapes have been visible. Inexplicably, electric kettles have switched on and started to boil and a vacuum cleaner, which has been left unplugged for days, abruptly turns on.
